This website has been designed to work best with
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or
above running under Windows
and has been tested with most other common browsers and platforms.
You may want to keep in mind the following:
Viewing/Printing Adobe Acrobat
files
Much of DDS Product documentation is in Acrobat (.pdf) format.
In order to work with these files you'll need to download and install
the Adobe Reader. The Adobe Reader allows you to view, print and
search (version 4 and above only) Acrobat documents from within
your Web browser.
Also keep in mind: Upgrading to the latest version of Adobe Reader
will solve most general problems with viewing pdfs. If this does
not help try upgrading your browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer
6 recommended).
Acrobat files are generally better suited for printing than typical
Web documents. However, large manuals may take some time to download
if you are connected via a modem. If you have trouble viewing the
Acrobat file on your browser, you may wish to download the entire
document and view locally rather than trying to view directly in
the browser. Just right-click the attachment (Option-click for Macintosh)
and Save Target As... to your hard disk or local network.
Printing from the browser
If the document does not have an Acrobat
version, you may wish to hide your headers and footers when you
print:
In
Explorer 5 and above, select File>Page Setup and delete the text
from the Header and
-i-Footer boxes.
In
Netscape 6 and above, select File>Page Setup and choose blank
in the selection
-i-menus on the Margins & Header/Footer
tab.
Report samples online (in the System Updates):
If an update includes a report sample that appears to be wrapping
its lines strangely, try reducing your screen font size:
In Explorer 5 and above, select View>Text Size>Smaller.
In Firefox 1 and above, select View>Text Size > Decrease.
