DDS and Business Continuity - At a Glance

If DDS applications are mission-critical to your business, so that being without them for an extended period would severely damage you, the DDS business continuity programme will help you plan ahead.

Our objective
If a disaster strikes our premises, our objective is to replicate the DDS computer system and printing service at a remote location as quickly as possible. We commit that the DDS system will be fully up and working within 72 hours of DDS invoking the programme.

What the business continuity programme includes
The DDS business continuity programme includes:
regular testing of backup equipment by the DDS operations department
restoration of IT services from our remote site at IBM Greenford
restoration of printing from IBM Greenford
restoration of office services -- System Support Centre and account handling
annual business continuity testing at IBM Greenford -- we strongly recommend that you
i- participate (the next test is scheduled for 23-24 October 2009)
